Being the techno-gadget guru at work, I’ve been asked a lot for help with downloading music to a PSP. Like anything else, there’s an easy way and a lot of hard ways to download music to your PSP. Here you’ll find the fast and easy way for putting your favorite music on the PSP.

Having the right tools on hand to start with helps to expidite the process and prevent frustration along the way. I’m assuming you have your PSP, a USB cable and a Desktop or Laptop PC. You should also have quality CD Ripper and PSP Video Converter software too.

The CD Ripper allows you to grab songs from your CD’s, and the PSP Video Converter is for converting visual media files into the proper format to view on your PSP. These two programs combined will provide you with everything you need for hours of music and video entertainment on your PSP.

Quick Steps:

- Use the CD Ripper to extract and encode songs from your CD’s to your PC

- Be sure to select the PSP format when encoding the songs

- Connect your PSP with the USB cable to your Laptop or PC and simply copy the encoded files to the PSPMusic directory of your PSP drive

How easy was that? You can use the same basic steps to convert and download videos to your PSP too, the difference being that you would copy your MP4 video files into the MP_ROOT\100MNV01 directory of your PSPDrive.

There you have it, 3 quick steps to download music to a PSP. Happy downloading.
